"I began playing golf at the age of 11 and turned professional when I was 18. During my time as a Junior amateur, I was fortunate enough to be part of the Kent Golf setup, which gave me invaluable experience and a deep understanding of what it’s like to represent my county. Wanting to take my skills further, I pursued my PGA Degree shortly after turning professional in 2008.

I spent 15 years at North Foreland Golf Club, where I had the opportunity to contribute to both the club and its members. One of my greatest passions is coaching, especially juniors, as I can relate to their journey having been there myself. In 2024, I became the Head Professional at Chestfield Golf Club, where I’m lucky to work with fantastic facilities, including an indoor studio with Foresight GC Quad, an undercover driving range, a fantastic chipping and bunker area, and a large putting green - not to mention an excellent golf course too.

Recently, I launched the Chestfield Junior Cubs, an all-inclusive 11-level program designed to take Juniors through every aspect of their golf game, preparing them for league and county golf. Additionally, I’m proud to run a Kent Approved Advanced Under 12’s Academy, aimed at developing young players to the highest standards."

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

You must be aged between 7 to 12 years of age on the 1 January 2025.

SESSIONS INCLUDE:

Alex coaches a mixed group of U12’s boys and girls, held monthly on Saturday afternoons 2pm-3pm at Chestfield Golf Club.
These sessions will use Foresight GC Quad and to help identify and improve specific areas for development.
The goal of these sessions is not to learn how just to swing the club and hit a ball but how to play golf.
In the spring and summer season these sessions will be a lot more course based to aid playing and performance whilst covering aspects such as rules and etiquette.
