Invicta 10s & 12s (East) report

Date published: 9 Apr 2025

In a break from tradition, the weather for the Easter Invictas at Pedham Place GC was not freezing, cold, and windy. What luck! With some returning faces and quite a few new ones, it was a busy but enjoyable start to the Invictas season.

The winner in the U12 category, with a score of 66 over 18 holes of the par 3 course, was Logan Andrews, with Hayden Hoyle (Pedham Place) taking second place with 73. Coming in third, taking it on countback from Harry Martin, was Cameron Callaghan (Chelsfield Lakes).

In the U10s, winning the 9-hole event with a splendid score of 31 was newcomer Ralph Bridge (Birchwood Park), with Rochester and Cobham’s Denny Connor the runner-up on 35. There was a tie for third between Oscar Robertson and Max Perry who couldn’t be separated, even after a card countback to one hole! Bad luck to Hugo Marshall who was just edged out of the prizes.

In the Skills tests, our best driver of the day was Jack Parks (Hever Castle) with chipping honours going to Oscar Robertson (Kings Hill). Putting proved to be the strong point for Max Perry (Upchurch River Valley) and the overall skills winner, doing the double on the day, was Ralph Bridge. Watch out, Ralph, they’ll all be after you next time!

Our thanks go to our wonderful volunteers for giving up their time to help out and to Pedham Place Golf Centre for their usual excellent hospitality and their continued support of our junior programme.

Round two takes place at Boughton, The Cave, on Thursday 17th April.
