Kent Men's 1st Team v Essex match report

Our season got underway on Sunday with an away fixture at The Heron Country Club, taking on the current national champions, Essex.
A strong start saw us take the morning foursomes 3–2, and at one point, it looked like it could be even better. The afternoon singles were tightly contested, but Essex edged the crucial moments and ran out 10–5 winners overall.
Thanks to Essex for their great hospitality—we wish them all the best for the season and look forward to seeing them again at the Six Man in July.
