Junior Organisers' Workshop report

The annual Junior Organisers' Workshop was held on Wednesday night at Bearsted GC. A small but perfectly formed group of club representatives enjoyed an evening of networking together and sharing their experiences.
There were four speakers presenting:
- Allison Boozer, England Golf's Club & County Support Officer, spoke about SafeGolf, Junior statistics, as well as Girls Golf Rocks & Rookies, the Community Golf Instructor courses and Junior Golf Development for 2025.
- Natalie Mutter, Regional Development Officer for The Golf Foundation spoke about the GF's work with clubs and schools, and also about the exciting new Ping Junior Tour.
- Mark Timlett, Secretary of The GSR Junior 4Somes League (formerly Srixon 4Somes) updated us on the latest news, including its exciting growth across the County.
- Final speaker was Kent Golf's JDO Tim Ewer who gave updates on academies, competitions, school visits, new disability initiatives, and also offered to visit clubs who need advice on boosting their Junior Section numbers.
