Kent Golf Referees at the R&A Tournament Administrators and Referees Seminar

After passing their Level 3 Exam, three lucky Kent Golf referees (Peter Long, Jane Marr, and Britta Nolle) together with about 60 other golf enthusiasts from GB&I and Sweden went to Golf Ireland HQ at Carton Demesne, Kildare for the R&A Tournament Administrators and Referees Seminar.
The three day seminar covered not just the basics of Refereeing but also Committee Procedures, Terms of Competitions, Course Markings, Suspension of Play, and the all important handling of pace of play. They also had an interview with the experienced Andy McFee (former European Tour Chief Referee) and got to practice giving rulings as part of a role play. A memorable experience.
