Charlie Hickling (Wildernesse) wins the 2024 Kent Men's Order of Merit

Date published: 21 Sep 2024

Many congratulations to Charlie Hickling (Wildernesse) for winning the 2024 Kent Men's Order of Merit. After being runner-up last year to his clubmate Danny Jones, he went one better this year to triumph on a score of 133, helped on his way by a win in the Pilgrim's Plate at Canterbury.

Nick Panting (Rochester & Cobham Park) won the final qualifying event, the Teise Trophy at Lamberhurst - as well as the Romer Bowl (Littlestone) and the Prince of Wales (Prince's) earlier in the season - to claim the runner-up spot, with Danny taking third place after a consistent performance across all events. Coming in fourth was Chislehurst's Liam Burns, who finished his season with a flourish by claiming the Kent Cob at Knole Park and the Bishop's Bowl at Wildernesse the following day.

Well done to all 157 Order of Merit point scorers for another brilliant season of competitive golf.
