What a year, what a team! Kent U14 Boys Team win the SE Final at West Essex
Many thanks to an amazing squad of players, everyone played a huge part in getting us into the final. They are all fantastic ambassadors for the County and junior golf.
On the way to the final, the boys have beaten both Herts & Essex home and away convincingly, and yesterday faced Suffolk and BB&O on a windy and tricky West Essex GC. A golf course of two very different nines, the front shorter and a bit 'fiddly', the back nine longer and more traditional. The boys handled both nines incredibly well with some outstanding golf. For the first time this year, we went out in a 'high to low' handicap order, but throughout the team all handled the pressure very well, winning in the end quite late in the day, beating Suffolk 9-1 and BB&O 6½-3½.
Many thanks to ALL of the Squad of 2024, everyone has been very instrumental this year, plus a very special thanks to Head Coach Peter Parks for his dedicated and technical work with the boys this year, and of course not forgetting the 'rent-a-crowd' of amazing parents who have been at every match, walking the fairways with them all year.
