Breezy but bright were the conditions that greeted our 36 entrants in this year's Rooke Salver at Pedham Place. With the course in fine condition, we expected some good scoring - and we weren't disappointed. Over a quarter of the field played to their handicap or better, and our Kent women enjoyed the challenge of playing Pedham in the wind!
Best of the day and making off with the silver was Juli Fayers from Nizels (pictured below) with a splendid 42 points, which included a fabulous eagle on the 13th hole. Taking the runner-up spot was Helen Johnson (Shortlands) on 39 points, on countback from West Malling's Denise Cooper. Coming in fourth on 38, on countback from another five players was Sharon Kent (Dartford).
We thank Pedham Place for their hospitality and the lovely meal that was enjoyed by all after the exertions on the golf course.
