One of golf's benefits is the social side of the game. This #WorldFriendshipDay, we are sharing Ellena and Millie's friendship story, which started during their Kent Junior Girls golf years.
Ellena Slater (Kings Hill) and Millie Thompson (Sittingbourne & Milton Regis) met through Kent Junior Girls golf (photo on the left at Junior County Week in 2018), and have remained firm friends ever since (photo on the right at Women’s County Week in 2023).
They are studying at different universities in the US 2,000 miles apart but keep in regular contact while over there, and get together again in the holidays when back in the UK.
