Kent Futures event report

It was Kent Golf’s first visit to Eltham Warren for a Futures event and we were blessed with lovely sunshine, great hospitality, and our 22 youngsters took to the nine-hole layout with enthusiasm.
In the 12 to 25 handicap division, West Malling player, Noah Norman, took first prize with an excellent 42 points, with Louis Garvey (Canterbury) coming second with 36. Jeremy Li (Sundridge Park) was just behind in third with 35 points.
For handicaps of 26 and above, the honours went to Harry Walters (Pedham Place) after scoring a superb 48 points, with Kings Hill’s Oscar Robertson taking the runner-up spot with an impressive 43. Rounding out the top three was another Kings Hill player, Rhoovie Zhandire, with 37 points.
Nearest the pin on the 10th was won by Louis Garvey, and Mia Frith (Hever Castle) hit a terrific shot on the 18th to claim the prize there.
We thank Eltham Warren for hosting us and hope it will not be too long before we can return.
There are still two more Futures competitions this year – 15th August at Littlestone Warren and 27th August at Dartford – so we hope to see you there!
