U14 boys beat Herts 7-1 and Essex 4½ - 3½

The Kent Boys U14 team made a fantastic start to the 2024 season this weekend, in the first of three triangular matches v Essex and Hertfordshire.
The first match was played at an extremely well presented Knebworth Golf Club hosted by Hertfordshire. On a very tight and tricky course, our boys beat Herts 7-1 and Essex 4½ - 3½.
There was some great golf played, and also some fantastic scrambling, which made the difference in the end. The two reserve matches included some solid golf and also wins for Kent.
Many thanks to Knebworth GC and Hertfordshire Golf for such friendly, welcoming, and warm hospitality. Also, thanks to the parents for their support on and off the course.
The next match is at home at Rochester & Cobham Park GC at the end of the month, we eagerly look forward to that and hope the boys continue their good form.
