ELIGIBILITY:

• GENDER: Male
• AGE: Must be over 53 years of age on day of the competition
• HI: Maximum handicap index of 8.7 on closing date of entry
• Players must be a member of a Kent Club which is their 'home' club

ENTRY FEE: £60 which includes a meal

ENTRY CLOSING DATE:  9 February 2026 at 17:00. Late entries will not be accepted but may be added to a reserve list. Refunds WILL NOT be issued after the closing date

OTHER INFORMATION: 

• The field will be limited to 60 players
• Caddies are not permitted
• Golfers should not enter this event unless they are available for the final and for the purposes of Kent Golf's General Competition Conditions, this is treated as a 36-hole competition
• PRIZES: Gross and handicap prizes will be awarded to competitors in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. These prizes will be awarded at the final. No competitor may win both gross and handicap prizes. The top 30 gross scores will qualify for the final at Royal St. George’s on 12 March 2026

GENERAL PLAY CARDS 

In order to enter the ROBIN YOUNG TROPHY QUALIFIER an entrant must be:

In possession of an individual up-to-date Handicap Index® not exceeding 8.7 under the World Handicapping System™.

An entry may be refused if, in the opinion of the Championship Committee, a players Handicap Index is not reflective of their playing ability. This decision may be based on but is not limited to:

(a) a handicap record (most recent 20 scores) that contains more than 4 (four) General Play scores,

(b) a handicap record (most recent 20 scores) that contains less than 4 (four) Competition Scores, or

(c) an incomplete handicap record where fewer than 20 scores have been returned.

* For clarification – you are allowed to have more than four General Play cards in your record but if you have more than four then your record will be looked at.

Your Competition average score will then be compared to your General Play average score.

If your General Play average score is 2 or more lower than your Competition average score, entry will be denied.

KENT GOLF reserves the right to contact the Club Handicap Committee to highlight the returning of General Play scores.
